[WATCH] Trousdale – “Growing Pains”

Los Angeles trio, Trousdale – comprised of Quinn D’Andrea, Georgia Greene, and Lauren Jones – have been dazzling us since their 2023 debut, Out Of My Mind. Blurring genre lines between indie, alternative and country/pop, the trio are gearing up for the release of sophomore record, Growing Pains, out April 11, and first single of the same name gives listeners a taste of what’s to come.

“Growing Pains” encapsulates the human experience beautifully, expressing the trials and tribulations of trying to get ahead when it feels like all your efforts go unnoticed. It’s that thin line between burnout and the acknowledgment of having gratitude for how far you’ve come, along with the inner knowing that there’s still more to the story.

“The idea for this song came about pretty naturally by discussing one of our favorite subjects: how exhausted we are,” shared Lauren Jones. “It really is so disorienting at times to have a career that is your passion, but also your work. Your boundaries are constantly being pushed and pulled, and you’re always willing to put in the overtime because you care so much. Over time, this can really start to look like burnout if you’re not careful. ‘Growing Pains’ is about living the dream while acknowledging that the dream can be pretty hard sometimes.”

Trousdale are set to embark on a headlining tour this spring. Tickets and dates here.
