When you’re down in the dumps and piss poor, it’s very easy to have a love/hate relationship with money. After all, they say it makes the world go round, but it can also be detrimental to society and one’s survival.
It’s no secret that there are a lot of shitty people in power who use money to enhance their lives. Luckily for us, Transviolet has come to save the day and piss people off by being little capitalist nightmares and we are so here for it!
In the band’s new video for “Money Money,” Donald Trump gets his panties in a bunch in “an ode to greed, corruption and rampant consumerism,” while scenes from a realistic horror movie take place that will have you screaming, “fuck yeah” at your screen. This is for everyone who has been screwed over by greed; it’s almost like justice and karma teamed up for a dinner date.
“We live in an absurd capitalist hellscape that is cannibalizing itself, and I wanted to write a song that encapsulated that absurdity,” shared singer Sarah McTaggart. “I hope that this song will cause people to question how we got here, and if we’d like to stay here.”
