Transviolet have been on a steady climb with the material they’ve been rolling out over the past year. However, nothing could have prepared us for the absolute gem that is “Fever,” and once you fall into its massive energy – sirens and all – you’ll understand why.
Written from the perspective of Gaia, our Mother Earth, “Fever” tells a tale of heartbreak and despair over the senseless destruction caused by humanity while also offering up hope and a sense of balance for future generations. The track’s accompanying video – directed by Kyle Vorbach – portrays all of that and more as singer Sarah McTaggart takes on the role of Gaia, pleading for Earth and all its beings to find harmony again.
Cinematic and haunting, this just might be the band’s best release yet!
“The video is a story of Gaia, our Mother Earth, and her hope, heartbreak, despair and rage for humanity and the senseless destruction we cause. she reminds us that life on Earth is a delicate balance- one we fall into, or fall out of. Nature is not something for us to save. It’s not something we can separate ourselves from, and endlessly exploit- we ARE nature, and when we fall out of the rhythm, when we don’t correct the imbalance, nature will correct it for us. We can choose harmony, or annihilation.”
