Back in the day, if you visited the juniors section of a department store such as Macy’s, Sears or JCPenney, there would be little TV screens playing the hottest music videos of the 90’s. Some would stay just for the music as shoppers passed idly by, unaware of the magic going on in such a crucial era for music.
If you’re a fan of London trio, The xx, you’re pretty familiar with the band’s retro music videos so once the announcement for a video for “Say Something Loving” off of their newest release, I See You, was teased this week, fans knew it was going to be quite an experience. Reminiscent of something you’d see on those little department store TVs, the video shares the insecurities of finding new love and the bliss that follows. The very ending, however, is the sweetest.
