Nicky Venus is set to release an album this November but in the meantime, the synthpop extraordinaire will be dropping singles left and right every month until its release. Today’s gem, “Bodily Love,” is best described as “mid-80’s Depeche Mode meets 70’s David Bowie.”
Before pressing play, do yourselves a favor and pretend it’s 1985. MTV is actually playing music videos and the one you are about to watch is about to be the network’s top play. Cell phones don’t exist and if you want to hear this song over and over again, you’ll have to get up and go to one of the many record stores to buy it in a physical format. We can only dream.
