San Francisco emerging duo, Meet Me In Orbit, have unleashed one hell of an end-of-summer jam to keep all of us tied over until we can lounge by the pool again.
“Weekend” is a synthy, breezy poolside dream reminiscent of some of that good ol’ 90’s pop we all grew up with. The track’s accompanying video is full of lush scenery and pool vibes that’ll have you counting down the days until next summer!
The duo – comprised of Jared Brannan and Brandon Bews – formed in 2014 and have been at a steady climb ever since. With two stellar EPs under their belt and another on the way, it looks like these two are well on their way to becoming a staple on every playlist, especially that they’ve spent their time in quarantine redefining their sound.
“‘Weekend’ is a song we’ve been working on for a long time,” the band shared. “The concept actually started as a voice memo back when we first started MMO, and we’ve just been waiting for the right time to finish it. On the surface, the song is about a shy romance, but it’s really about how just passing time with the right people might be the closest to actual happiness anyone could hope for.”
