Glasgow-based Irish singer-songwriter, Martha Ffion, caught our attention recently with her newest release off of her highly anticipated debut album, Sunday Best, out March 9 via Turnstile Music.
“Take Your Name” and its accompanying video – directed by Beth Chalmers – are like traveling back in time to the 60’s and 70’s – chanson with a modern indie twist, if you please. It’s one of those songs that captivates your attention by bringing a feeling or memory back from a more carefree period of life.
“I wasn’t looking for anyone when you showed up” – sings Ffion. Sometimes that’s all it takes to fall in love with music as well.
