The world is a crazy mess right now, but the one thing we can count on is music to lift us up when we need it the most. That notion also goes for family and the ones we hold dear to our hearts. LANY’s new track, “If This Is The Last Time,” delves deep into one’s roots; a love letter of sorts to family and how we shouldn’t take one second we have with them for granted.
Given the circumstances of the COVID-19 pandemic, a lot of us have been putting things into perspective, and “If This Is The Last Time” encapsulates a feeling we have all found weighing on our minds lately. A simple act of love such as calling your parents is something we never thought twice about, but once you realize that everything can change in the blink of an eye, we tend to shift our perspectives and cherish every moment we have with the ones we love.

This is the most beautiful song I’ve ever heard! In my case I’m the mother but I lost my beautiful son on Oct 23rd, 2022 due to an overdose! To say I’m devastated, heartbroken and crushes is putting it mildly! I’m broken! Sooooo broken! When the song says “Sorry for the fights and the tone of my voice and all those nights I made the wrong choice reminds me of him soooo much! We would have arguments and he would get mad at me because I would preach to him all the time about his drug use and was sooooo afraid of losing him and then it happened! He was a person with a heart of gold but damn it, he had a drug problem and we lost him! I know if he sees all the suffering and pain I am in he would feel soooo bad! I feel like he is singing this song to me! I love and miss him more than I could ever say! You guys are amazing and this song is beyond beautiful! Makes me cry like a baby but still, it is beautiful and reminds me of my beautiful Patrick!
