[WATCH] joan – “magic”

I honestly cannot think of a better word to describe Little Rock, AR indie-pop duo, joan, than “magic.” Since 2017, these two gentleman have knocked every release out of the park, so new track, “magic,” from the band’s forthcoming project is so aptly titled!

Capturing the band’s signature vibe of expansive pop production and poignant lyrism, “magic,” at its heart is the culmination of what listeners have come to love about joan over the years.

“‘magic’ is the feeling of something too good to be true, the feeling of living in a dream and wondering when you’ll wake up, the feeling that the future must be tragic because the present just feels too good,” shared the band. “‘magic’ is a romanticization of this beautifully boring life, a reminder that nothing in life—good or bad—lasts.”

Perhaps maybe, this track is a reminder that happiness (or in this case, ‘magic’) isn’t as fleeting as we believe. As long as we honor the ebb and flow of life through its cycles, there is always magic to be found.
