[WATCH] Bad Suns – “Communicating”

Indie-pop trio, Bad Suns, are always up for a little tease, and after sending fans on a chase through a mysterious phone number to call, the band has returned with new single, “Communicating.”

Their first release since 2023’s Infinite Joy EP, “Communicating” kicks off a brand new era for the band, but the track’s backstory is reminiscent as it is forward-thinking.

Delving into the beginning stages of lead singer Christo Bowman’s relationship with his wife, “Communicating” takes listeners 12 years back to first dates and conversations that provided the foundation they have built today.

Lyrically, I was inspired to reflect and sift through my memories of our earliest times together, back when we couldn’t have possibly predicted what the future held in store for us.”

Executed in classic Bad Suns style, the track is a sonic representation of a mixture of SoCal vibes mixed with the colorful sounds of Japanese city pop.

It had been a cold and rainy couple of weeks in February but that morning, the clouds parted, and the sun emerged for a beautiful, sunny day in Los Angeles,” he explains. “There were palm trees all around me and I just wanted to write a song that captured that essence.”

You can catch Bad Suns on tour with Finneas next month! Dates and tickets here.
