Fans have been anticipating a new era from pop queen, Ava Max, and damn, did she deliver!
New track, “Maybe You’re The Problem,” is set to be featured on the singer’s highly anticipated sophomore record following the success of 2020’s Heaven & Hell. Delving into the patterns of narcissistic abuse from a significant other, “Maybe You’re The Problem” suggests the abuser look in the mirror before pointing the blame. If you have a couple of faces you’d love to send this one to, you’re not alone!
“Everyone always says ‘it’s not you it’s me’ but sometimes the problem really isn’t me, it’s you!!” Ava shares, “’Maybe You’re The Problem’ was so much fun to create. This new music I’ve been working on is the most personal music I have ever made. I can’t wait to share it with you very soon.”
The track’s accompanying video – directed by music video legend Joseph Kahn – is chock full of 80s and 90s vibes for days with a little sass à la Max thrown in there for good measure. One thing’s for sure: this new era is going to be wild!
