It’s finally starting to feel like summer in Canada! I mean it’s still kinda chilly at night and you might need a light jacket in the mornings. But hey, we will take what we can get at this point. If the sun is shining and we don’t need to shovel out the driveway, we’re all good.
A song that’s been getting me excited for warmer weather is definitely RAC‘s “Cheap Sunglasses” featuring Matthew Koma. It just has that warm, fun and bubbly sound that just gets me so excited for beach runs and road trips. I recently stumbled upon this song after hearing a friend of mine talking about RAC and their remixes. If you don’t know who RAC is here is a brief history blurb.
RAC, otherwise known as Remix Artist Collective, is an indie-electronic project created by André Allen Anjos. It started back in 2007 as a group of international musicians who wanted to create re-interpretative rock, electronica and dance music remixes for other musicians and artists. Unlike the usual arsenal of electronic remixes that the world has, RAC mixes their music so it has a unique aesthetic that strays from the “club mix” genre. As of recently, RAC has expanded their music to produce original music while continuing to collaborate with artists from across multiple genres, which is so cool!
