When it comes to music, there is something to be said about a band who’s songs just remind you of home. The Saint Johns are a band that do just that. I’ve always enjoyed their music, even before they went to pursue their musical endeavors in Nashville. They’ve done a lot of growing up in those few years and you can really tell that their music has been influenced in a positive way.
For me, Nashville is my second home, it’s one of my favourite cities in North America and I find that its Americana culture along with its heart and soul really transcends from person to person or from musician to musician. There is a certain feel to the city that is different from the others of the world. The Saint Johns are a band that reflect that feeling for me, between Jordan and Louis, their harmonies and writing styles really mesh together and create something so beautiful that sets them apart from the rest.
My favourite song of theirs is called “Josephine.” It’s a gorgeous little ditty that makes me miss Nashville even more than I already do. Check out their acoustic performance for the Yellow Couch Sessions below!
