We think it’s pretty safe to say that The New Division – spearheaded by John Kunkel – are on a hot streak right now. Fresh off the heels of 2020 LP, Hidden Memories, TND have returned with new track, “Sequence,” which we are excited to premiere today.
“Sequence” will feel right at home to the ears of TND fans. Offering a dark yet insightful nostalgia trip back to the eighties set to the theme of modern issues plaguing the world right now, “Sequence” delves into the hardships the world has faced over this past year, the ways in which we can be there for those we love, and the ways we can look after ourselves.
“The song is really about being there for those we care and cherish. Everyone’s dealt with the pandemic in their own way, but many of us are still picking up the pieces left behind for others to carry onward,” shared Kunkel.
“The song is also about myself in some sense. I spent several nights last year wandering empty streets alone, wondering where the world was headed and what the future held. ‘Sequence’ is equally about caring for others and taking better care of ourselves.”
