Maggie Rogers is truly living her best life in this new era, and new video for the first single off of her forthcoming sophomore record, Surrender, “That’s Where I Am,” only proves that this is going to be her best yet! There’s a certain spark that ignites while listening to a Maggie Rogers songs, and this one does not disappoint!
While us New Yorkers wish a day in the city could be as joyful as Rogers depicts in the track’s accompanying video, there’s no denying that “That’s Where I Am” is a lovely way to begin a new album era. From the joyous dancing in the streets to the friendly cab ride to anywhere to ending the day with a glorious Empire State Building view with a rooftop performance, Rogers clearly knows how to take advantage of a good time.
Surrender is due out on July 29.
