[Pick Of The Week] joan – “eyes”

Alt-pop duo, joan, always deliver the goodness and new single, “eyes,” is just what we all need at the moment.

Following the late summer release of “heartbodymindsoul,” “eyes” takes on a poignant role in this release cycle as a connection deepens and grows.

“‘eyes’ is a song about the small things in our life that have the most power. We close our eyes and can feel the wind hitting our face, we open our eyes and see the sunset at the beach, we lock eyes with someone and immediately feel a love that we’ve been searching for our whole lives. This song is trying to explain what almost feels unexplainable – two people looking at each other’s organs in their face and feeling like all their fears are gone, all their troubles are shot through the roof, all the things that once paralyzed them no longer have power over them. It’s incredibly profound and beautifully peculiar so we wanted to write a song about it.”
