Indie-pop duo, HONESTLY – comprised of Eric Canto and Dalton Winters – have been blessing us with so much new music over the past few months! Today marks the release of new track, “San Francisco” – a wistful, heart-wrenching take on reminiscing on a past relationship and broken promises that will have you mourning the end of all of your past romantic experiences.
Inspired by a past experience of Winters’, “San Francisco” is the track that inspired the band to take their bedroom-therapy-writing session seriously, and we’re glad that they did! Word on the street is that their debut full-length album is coming sooner than you think, so stay tuned!
“‘San Francisco’ was inspired by a real experience, with literal lyrics and direct references. The song sums up the entire message of the album, and we hope that people can relate to its inspirational yet nostalgic messaging,” shared Winters.
“This song was the moment we knew that this project should be taken more seriously, and that we had something very special,” added Canto. “This song perfectly exemplifies the feelings of nostalgia, infatuation, and excitement consistent with summertime.”
The band’s debut album, Inside Your Eyes, Without You Beside Me, is set to be released on July 13. All of the proceeds will be donated to the Grassroots Law Project. You can pre-order the album here!
