We all have at least one of those beloved bands that somehow disbanded and disappeared only to reappear again and all is right in the world.
Australia’s GATC (formerly Gypsy and The Cat) have been one of those bands for us, and once we got word today that they’re back with new music – and a potential vinyl for their debut, Gilgamesh – needless to say, we were very excited!
Comprised of Xavier Bacash and Lionel Towers, GATC are all rebranded and relaunched and we couldn’t be more ready! New single, “Dust,” is their first in seven years and it definitely stands out from the rest of their catalog. Drenched in the duo’s signature dreamwave meets indie aesthetic, “Dust” is the perfect comeback track, making listeners crave more!
In addition to all the new music excitement, the band has started a Kickstarter campaign to bring fans a limited edition vinyl release of their debut album, Gilgamesh! It’s been 12 years but it was worth the wait! Pledge now here to reserve a copy!
