[Pick Of The Week] Four Nights – “safe”

It has been three years since we last heard from Dublin’s Four Nights – the project from musician Tommy Buckley. This should be considered a crime. However, all is forgiven with a post-hiatus track like this!

“safe” delves into that all-too-familiar feeling of harboring unspoken feelings while exploring the delicate balance between fear and longing. Infectious as it is relatable, “safe” channels influences like Nightly and joan while giving off a Javi Jimenez vibe, which makes us think these two would be perfect collab partners! In manifesting mode!

“[‘safe’] is about the anxiety and fear of telling someone how you really feel,” shared Buckley. “There’s a comfort in keeping those feelings safe, but it’s a double-edged sword. My goal with this song was to capture that internal struggle in a way that’s both relatable and uplifting.”
