[Pick Of The Week] flor – “Tethered”

Anyone who has been following TDL since our inception knows that flor has been at the top of our list of faves to cover, with every release acting as a testament to why we simply cannot get enough of the Hood River, OR alt-pop trio.

After dazzling listeners with four new tracks – and riding high off of their newly independent status – the band are ready to tug on our heartstrings once more with new single, “Tethered.”

Unfolding the endless layers of loving someone, “Tethered” is a sweet indie-pop love song that delves into the idea of invisible strings, revealing who we are meant to be with despite all odds and distance. More of this, please!

“Surprise, surprise, another flor love song,” says vocalist Zach Grace. “It’s a good thing love has so many facets to discover and explore or else I wouldn’t have anything to write about. I love the imagery of being connected by a link, invisible or otherwise, to the person who is made for you. How every life and every timeline couldn’t separate you from the person you are meant to be with. It’s a comforting thought to me.”
