Zedd knows what’s up when it comes to great collaborations. The GRAMMY award-winning DJ/producer has worked with the likes of Selena Gomez, Troye Sivan, Echosmith and now we can add Alessia Cara to that list.
New track, “Stay,” is a style departure for both artists, helping them both break down genre barriers as the track will no doubt reach chart success. There’s no denying the similarities with the opening to “Poltergeist” by Banks, though!
“I think this song is right in the middle between where Alessia is musically and where I am and that’s what’s so exciting about it,” Zedd explains.
“It still feels like me, just an elevated pop sound,” Alessia adds. “I don’t know that I would be this bold on my own stuff so it’s cool to try these things with collaborators.”
