UK duo, Wynona, first captured our attention a couple of months back with their feel-good nineties pop/rock track, “Feeling For Edges,” but what comes after (pun intended) is even better than we imagined.
New track, “Tell Me What Comes After,” is self-described as a “nostalgic vignette viewed through a modern lens” as listeners are taken on a journey through a hazy night out that later leads to a reflective longing for the past while remaining excited for what’s to come.
Sonically reminiscent of The Cranberries meets The Cure but with a modern day Maggie Rogers feel, “Tell Me What Comes After” is a glorious treat that shall fit effortlessly into those spring and summer road trip playlists!
“This song came to us effortlessly. When creating it, we discussed influences like Cyndi Lauper and Tears for Fears, which inspired us to incorporate more prominent synth textures into Wynona’s sound for the first time.”
“We’d like to think that the song has a romantic nostalgia that feels familiar to anyone that stumbles across it as well as having its own identity. We don’t get too hung up on genres or overanalyze our music during the creative process. We just focus on enjoying the songwriting experience.”
