Sheffield, UK band, Work In TV – comprised of Jack Hardwick, Bradley Neen, Will McMahon, Daniel Storey and Joe Carter – formed during the pandemic. With little else to do, why not form a band? What started as evening jam sessions in a dingy rehearsal studio, turned into something definitely worth buzzing about!
The band’s debut single, “Spiral,” arrives today in all it’s indie-rock gloriousness and we’re pretty sure it’s going to catch on very soon! Despite not releasing a single thing, the band has managed to pack out venues in Sheffield, so we’ll just call this the beginning of a very exciting journey for these guys!
“Fundamentally, ‘Spiral’ is about escapism; abuse of coping mechanisms; bitter disappointment in those closest to you; and a confused apathy,” shared Hardwick. “It’s a cry for help, a call to arms and a sincere expression of love. In keeping with the great British musical tradition, like so many bands, we want people to dance in our dejection, to share in an experience that’s uplifting and fun. A mass catharsis.”
