New York’s Ursae is an avant-pop project of musician Andrew Campbell. Existing comfortably between indie, alternative and electronic, the singer’s newest track, “So Green Her Eyes,” takes on a deeper meaning, even giving off a 90’s alt-pop vibe that’s hard to ignore.
Campbell told Pancakes and Whiskey that the song is about, “this girl I had a crush on in high school, but was way out of my league.” He went on to state, “The song looks at depression and loneliness and says, ‘You might fantasize about Death but it’s not right for you. Be with someone you deserve.”
