SLACKMACHINE started as a moniker for artist Brad Kinnan as he DJed his way around nightclubs in Los Angeles, but the project has turned into a whole other entity of its own. Heavily influenced by Blade Runner and the Future Noir narrative, SLACKMACHINE’s debut single, “Leon,” is the first thing you should play while on a night drive this winter as it incorporates dark, synthwave vibes with elements and samples from the 1982 film.
Best described as “dystopian dancefloor rhythms for a post-computer universe,” this is one project you’ll want to follow along closely as more singles are on the way, along with a Blade Runner-inspired EP very soon!
