Up-and-coming London talent Sasha returns with promising new single “Waterworks” and hopefully you all will love it as much as we do as it is only a teaser of what’s to come.
Discussing the ever so confusing matters of young adulthood, “Waterworks” is a perfect summer tune showcasing Sasha’s progressive songwriting and quirky melodies lead by a synth-based vibe. The touch of playfulness resembles the rise of Lily Allen and Kate Nash.
“We wrote the song about getting drunk and telling your friends all your problems – something I have done on multiple occasions. We wanted the track to be a tongue-and-cheek, self-deprecating ‘pull yourself together’ moment. It made me excited to explore a new version of myself as an artist, looking at the complexity of adulthood and not taking myself or my music too seriously,” shared Sasha about the process of working along with producer Scott Colcombre on new material.
