[LISTEN] pure xtc – “Hurt Me Bad”

Kansas City alt-pop artist, pure xtc, has dazzled us once again with new track, “Hurt Me Bad.”

Inspired by the singer’s journey through the music industry, “Hurt Me Bad” encapsulates that all too familiar feeling of finding what you love and letting it kill you.

Racing thoughts of insecurity ran rampant – “what if I’m not strong enough?” – while questioning if you’re even having fun comes into play. While the industry can lead anyone into an existential crisis, it’s important to remember to stay true to your own journey, remembering that you’re not here to live out the same story as everyone else…and if you’re doubting yourself, you’re probably doing something right!

“‘Hurt Me Bad’ delves into the darker side of ambition—the way we pour everything into what we love, only to find it slowly unraveling us. Inspired by my journey through the music industry, the track captures both the highs that lift us and the sacrifices that leave their mark.”

“Hurt Me Bad” follows up previous releases, “Mood Ring” and “Fall Apart.”
