The first thing I noticed about Denver indie-alternative band, My Body Sings Electric, is the little note at the bottom of their upcoming EP cover, Franklin Tapes: Side B, that states, “We made this record in our garage and we don’t care if you don’t like it.” As a music writer with the sole mission to avoid the nasty, critical aspect of music journalism, I couldn’t be more proud. I don’t think they have to worry though, as their DIY EP, Franklin Tapes: Side A, made waves with some of the industry’s top press sites and the follow up, out February 26, should be no different – something first single, “Don’t Wake Me Up” demonstrates effortlessly.
Though they’ve often been compared to the likes of Panic! At The Disco and Walk The Moon, My Body Sings Electric are in a league all of their own, and if their confidence is any indication, it should be a fun ride ahead.
