You might remember MONOGEM’s Jen Hirsh from American Idol back in 2012, but it’s pretty evident that this girl is on the verge of big things, including an upcoming EP, So Many Ways, out this fall! With new track, “Lean,” at the helm, the singer has gifted us the perfect anthem for women in the music industry and the struggles/frustrations we all may feel when entering a new territory.
Make no mistake. This is not a song about sexism, but about the singer’s observations of the industry and how going with the flow can teach you more than you could ever imagine set to a nineties-esque pop/R&B vibe.
