Happy Friday, y’all! In comes the weekend and to me there’s no better way than to welcome it with new music, which is exactly the way my day started.
Kygo is a Norwegian DJ, songwriter and producer. You might remember his name from the iconic Ed Sheeran “I See Fire” remix, or by his massive singles like “Firestone.” Today he pleases us with a brand new track featuring a big favorite of mine, Kodaline.
“Raging” is the first single from Kygo’s upcoming debut album Cloud Nine due for release on May 13. The song is the perfect combination of Kygo’s style without losing the musical essence of Irish quartet, Kodaline.
While the lyrics talk about what seems like an ending love in the beginning, they switch the mood a little when the bridge and chorus appear, encouraging us to look for your significant other when in hard times. And as if the lyrics weren’t enough, Steve Garrigan’s vocals fit quite perfectly in the song.
“Call me anytime you can see the lightning, don’t you be alone, you can always find me…”
