I still think it’s hard to believe that it’s been 6 years since the King Of Pop, Michael Jackson passed away. His talent will always be remembered and appreciated. There’s a lot of covers of his songs out there, but today I’m here to talk about a specific one that has got my heart.
The guys of Kodaline have just made a beautiful and perfectly performed rendition of one of the most iconic Michael Jackson’s songs, “Billie Jean.” I’ve always thought that, in order to make a really good cover, you first need to make the song yours; and from my own perspective, Kodaline did just that, not only nailing the perfect notes and beautiful harmonies, but they actually owned the song and made it theirs without losing the iconic beat and essence of the original song.
