Alt-pop band, Heartracer, – comprised of brothers Chris and Chip Cosby and Wes Tatum – specialize in modern pop production with a mixture of classic pop songwriting of the past. Reminiscent of the greats of the eighties like Tears For Fears and A-ha, Heartracer just might be some of the best synthpop you’ll hear this year!
With a band name derived from Chris Cosby’s tachycardia diagnosis, a disorder which causes the heart to beat faster at random intervals, these guys know how to make a listener swoon, and new track, “Edge of My Heart” does not disappoint!
While a lot of tracks often deal with heartbreak and the toxicity of certain relationships, “Edge of My Heart” is a sigh of relief. Giving listeners hope that there is real, genuine love out there, this is one track you’re going to need when you feel defeated and hopeless in love.
“We are more privy to hear stories about abusive and toxic relationships so I wanted to write a song that explored the other end of the spectrum,” shared Chris Cosby. “‘I could almost see you through the darkness / you don’t have to close your eyes now / I can feel you breathing.'” “In this line I’m referring to the sacrificial elements of a relationship that go beyond self-gratification. Sometimes that kind of love is powerful enough to stop a downward spiral, to halt a fall, to catch them right at the edge.”
