[LISTEN] Garbage – “Wolves”

If you’re not completely dying inside of excitement over the upcoming Garbage record, No Gods No Masters, please check your pulse right now! While we have to wait a few more weeks until June 11, the band has so generously shared their third offering from the album, “Wolves,” and it is to die for!

“Wolves” delves into the beast that is inner conflict; the good vs. the bad of the human experience. We all have a duality within us to be all things good and bad, and the struggle is real on all accounts. In true Garbage fashion, the track offers hope in the midst of a storm to make amends set to a chilling, grungy soundtrack that will have you counting down the days until release day.

“This is a song about inner conflict. About regret. About duality,” shared singer Shirley Manson. “In the past I have hurt so many people in my life, both knowingly and unknowingly. But when you’re young and in self-survival mode, much like a baby rattlesnake, you have no idea how strong your venom is. But it has the power to kill. Meanwhile you’re just out there having fun. This song is an ode to that idea of: Who are you going to be as a person? Are you going to be a force of harm or are you going to try to do good in the world? A song about the struggle that exists inside ourselves as humans.”
