Alt-pop band, flor, dazzled us last month with their long-awaited new single, “Play Along,” from the band’s forthcoming third album, Future Shine, out on May 6. Today listeners are being graced with two new songs, “Skate,” and “Big Shot” and needless to say, it’s an exciting time in the flor community!
“I was thinking about people who present solutions for today’s problems to help ensure a brighter future,” shares vocalist/guitarist Zach Grace on the album’s title. “I wanted to emulate that energy, optimism, and desire for a better world. The album is us chasing the goal we’ve been after since high school: to share our art, bring joy, and connect with as many people as possible.”
“Skate” takes on a laidback, summery vibe similar to the notion of “Play Along.” When all is chaotic around you, sometimes its best to grab your friends and do what you used to do when you were younger. An ode to shooting the breeze, “Skate” is sure to be a spring and summer anthem this year.

“Big Shot” takes on a whole new vibe for the band, and we are HERE FOR IT! Telling the tale of an outsider looking in, the track delves into what it would be like to have the confidence and “cool cat” life of another. Did we mention there’s a bombastic guitar solo?
