[LISTEN] Eighty Ninety – “Yourself”

New York-based indie-pop duo, Eighty Ninety – comprised of brothers Abner and Harper James – have unveiled killer new single, “Yourself,” today and it’s not one to skip out on!

Following the release of their 2023 self-titled debut album, “Yourself” is an emotionally charged track that’s deeply relatable as it is full of energetic indie-pop goodness. Capturing the moments of a relationship’s disconnect, “Yourself” delves into how something can turn sour when not fully present, though physically close.

“’Yourself’ is about the quiet disconnect that can exist between two people, even when they’re physically close — and how easily things slip away when you’re not fully present and when you’re not giving yourself over to something,” says Abner. “We tried to capture those small, unnoticed moments that eventually add up, leaving you wondering what exactly you missed along the way until you realize what you missed wasn’t ‘something’- it was everything.”
