We first introduced you to Cyrano this past spring with his stunning debut track, “White Wine.” If you dug that one, just wait until you hear new release, “Tundra.”
Cyrano writes music “for the late night overthinkers,” and “Tundra” encapsulates that notion beautifully as the singer delves into an honest exploration of social anxiety and the battle to keep moving forward when things can often feel overwhelming and crippling. Set to a backdrop of desperate questioning and soul-searching, the line that bears repeating is, “but I’ve never really lost my mind.”
Co-produced by Foals’ Kit Monteith, “Tundra” is set to be featured on the singer’s forthcoming debut EP, Consolations.
“I wanted to make a track so chaotic, that could mirror the oscillating and often unpredictable feeling of social anxiety, and the journey it can take you on. Our aim was to break our beats and the norms of a song structure to keep things as irrational as life itself when these feelings arise.”
