Culture Kid – the project of London-based artist Fionn Hennessy-Hayes – has just unveiled second single, “I Wanna Live In New York (and Die In Your Arms)” and we must say, this one’s a keeper!
From the nostalgic early 2000’s alt-rock vibes to the lyrical romanticism of yearning for the soul meant to be next to yours despite the distance, Culture Kid showcases what it means to embrace those moments where everything is full of possibility despite the raging storms in our minds.
“I had a night out in New York a few years ago and just fell in love with the city. As the night went on, I met a girl and we hit it off. We laughed and we danced all night. Before I could get her number, she disappeared and I never saw her again. When I woke up the following morning with the hazy memory of the night before, I opened up my phone and found the words “I wanna live in NY”. With a sore head and a wounded heart, I added the words ‘and die in your arms.'”
Stay tuned for further releases, including an EP on the way!
