We fell head over heels for Nashville’s COIN last year and their self-titled debut album had us craving more all summer long – especially after seeing them open up for Neon Trees last summer! Now the band has unleashed the first single from their forthcoming sophomore record in the form of “Talk Too Much” which premiered on Idolator yesterday, being penned as “insanely catchy.” Spot on.
“We just came off a two-month tour playing pseudo punk songs. We wanted to slow it down to the likes of ’80s new wave.” says singer Chase Lawrence. “The song came easier than any other song I’ve ever written. In a few hours, we wrote a song about my inability to leave it unsaid. I’m gonna stop there.”
Featuring a lovely looking cake in the single artwork, one can’t help but want to escape into the weekend by avoiding everything with a tasty treat.
