Indie-pop mainstays, Bad Suns, have made a rather glorious return with their new single, “The One I Used To Love,” and needless to say, this one’s a keeper!
Their first release since 2022’s deluxe edition of their fourth studio album, Apocalypse Whenever, “The One I Used To Love” has been released ahead of the band’s tour with The Band CAMINO, kicking off Sept. 14! Dates and tickets here!
While the track may take on Bad Suns’ signature brand of vibrant indie-pop, it has a gripping underlying message of the struggles of addiction and taking accountability.
“Newly free from the shackles of a long, sordid entanglement with addiction, I surveyed the landscape of my life in that moment, and I let my pen get to work,” shared frontman Christo Bowman. “With this song, I bid farewell to a tragic romance with alcohol, and a new odyssey unfolds.”
