Singer/songwriter, Avery Lynch, first captured our attention through an Instagram reel of her all-too-relatable track, “you’re just a guy,” and we’ve been pretty smitten ever since.
Today marks the release of Lynch’s newest offering, “Rain,” which, in true Avery fashion, is delivered in an achingly personal way that’s too hard to resist. With a knack for penning songs straight from her diary reminiscent of Sasha Alex Sloan and Holly Humberstone, Lynch pulls listeners in with her raw honesty and vulnerability, often described as a “happy girl filled with sad songs.”
“I wrote ‘Rain’ about a time when my boyfriend and I were broken up and I was asked on a date by someone else,” Avery explains. “It recounts everything I was experiencing—where I was, what I felt, and what I wanted. It means a lot to me and it’s so cool to see how much it means to others, too.”
