British singer-songwriter Annabel Allum is kicking off 2018 with new music and more touring.
Her new track, “Beat The Birds,” follows in the footsteps of her 2017 EP All That For What – a debut that even sparked interest in the most prestigious media outlets across the UK. With gritty rock and folk-style storytelling combined, the song is a characteristic, rebellious introduction to anyone tuning in just now. The topic is also relatable as we all fall into our own self-destruction once in a while.
“I wrote ‘Beat the Birds’ during a heightened temerarious period of my life; riding on moments and not consequences, feeling and not thinking. The story of youthful, reckless abandon, morning after morning after morning,” shared Allum.
Following a successful tour supporting Beth Ditto at the end of last year, Annabel Allum is set to headline a small run of gigs across the UK and the European mainland in February and will return to SXSW later on in the year.
