Ever since Vaeda Black burst onto the scene late last year, we’ve been obsessed with her debut single, “Face Down.” While an EP is on the way, we wanted to dive a little deeper into the world of Vaeda Black. In honor of our Women’s History Month coverage, we asked the singer to play guest DJ to share tracks from female artists that have inspired her to make music and find her voice. The results are an array of jams new and old that are sure to tug on the heartstrings of women (and men) everywhere.

“The women in this playlist have really impacted me as an artist. I started listening to these women when I began to discover my taste in music,” shared Black. “Their lyrics and their sound have showed me what it’s like to be an individual and a writer. Strong women are taking over the music business and it’s a beautiful thing.”
