Do you ever have those moments when you hear a song that you haven’t heard in forever and then you fall head over heels for it all over again? Well I’ve been going through that ever since I heard “Monster Hospital” by Metric on the radio a few weeks back. My favorite alt. rock station never fails to have a good line up of tunes, but this one sent me reeling back to when I was in high school and I first fell in love with Metric and their music.
“Monster Hospital” from the band’s Live It Out album, is just as creepy and as darkly beautiful as I remember it. It’s a song that I used to listen to over and over back in my teenage years and just rock out to. I even covered it at one point! I honestly can’t believe I forgot about it! But since I’ve heard it again it’s been on every playlist I’ve made so far this week. I also can’t believe that it was released back in 2005! Back when times were simple and I was just a baby, well not really but you catch my drift. Anyways, check it out below.
