One of the greatest things about the internet is connecting with artists and their fans, especially if you have a music site. I received an enthusiastic pitch from a fan this past week (thanks, Ryan!) raving about Provo, UT’s Foreign Figures. Music bloggers, as you may know, get tons of pitches a day, but when they come from a fan, you know it’s real. Those personal connections are what we strive for here at The Daily Listening. After falling in love with the gorgeous visuals and lush melodies of the video for their song, “Fire,” I knew this was a band you guys needed to meet.
We are honored to share the exclusive premiere of Foreign Figures’ brand new track, “Forward” on this lovely Saturday. Check out what the band had to say about the song below:
“‘Forward’ is a good representation of the emotion we bring to the alternative pop/rock genre. We love infusing piano with our sound, but didn’t do it very much, or at all really, on our debut EP, Come Alive. “Forward” really showcases the extra feels you get from the piano when mixed with our usual blend of synths and guitars. We originally recorded “Forward” to be part of our 2016 EP, but we ultimately decided to release it this year, since so many of our fans had heard it at shows and wanted to hear it online.”
