If you follow music news (or any news) extensively, you know what a roller coaster the past few weeks have been – both emotionally and motivationally. Questioning who is worth of artistic support based on what they might have or have not done takes its toll and you forget to enjoy music for what it is: artistic expression, entertainment and the need to relate to someone as a listener. But we think we’ve found a band that exceeds all expectations.
Australian indie-pop via London, we caught Tall Poppies (what a cool name!) during the launch event for new single “Now” this past weekend. The band specializes in eccentric pop music with retro influence and violin that comes through best live. The humming female harmonies give an extra moody and mysterious feel to the music.
