RIYL: The 1975, Cherry Pools, COIN
After spending three years refining his sound, Colton Holliday has emerged as the mastermind behind Panic Division. With a new album, Touch, due out on June 14, Panic Division pretty much encompasses everything we love about the indie-pop genre and then some.
First single, “Graveyards,” is a breezy 80’s-inspired gem with an underlying message of “when two people in a relationship can’t get past each other’s baggage, obsessing over the other’s secrets. It’s metaphorically told as if both people are in a graveyard digging up the others grave to see who’s hiding the most shit.”
With just enough glittering synths and dance-worthy moments, you just might forget about your troubles for a few minutes as you dive into Holliday’s world.
