Chicago’s Liska – the moniker of artist, Annelise Steele – effortlessly bridges the gap between modern day indie-pop and 90s alternative, making her an artist to watch this fall!
On November 3, Liska will be releasing her new EP, It Girl, and second single, “Infinity,” is chock full of 80s meets 90s alternative nostalgia! Think: Garbage meets Cyndi Lauper.
For the track’s accompanying video, Liska teamed up with award-winning studio, Someoddpilot, crafting an ethereal space magic vibe that is sure to grab the attention of listeners everywhere!
“I got the idea for the chorus ‘your eyes are infinity’ while watching the Netflix documentary, ‘Escape to Infinity,'” shared the singer. “There was a segment of the documentary where they explain the concept of infinity as a never ending circle, moving away then feeding back into itself endlessly. They were using an eyeball to demonstrate this circle and I thought to myself, ‘oh my god, your eyes are infinity.’ Then I was like, ‘that would be such a romantic song.'”
