[Daily Discovery] James Holt

RIYL: The Beatles, David Bowie, Jade Bird

Manchester singer/songwriter, James Holt, has the ability to take you back in time the second you press play on one of his tracks. With uncertain times like these, that’s not necessarily a bad thing.

New single, “Pendulum,” is a throwback to ’60s meets ’70s psych-rock where bell-bottom jeans ruled the fashion world and cancel culture wasn’t even a concept. Imagine that! Take us there, now! Basically, one listen and you’ll feel like you’re discovering your parents record collection for the first time.

Holt has been championed by esteemed peers such as Brian Eno and has some pretty impressive achievements in music. Diagnosed with bilateral moderate-to-severe hearing loss at the age of four, Holt continues to prove that there are no limits to creation.
