RIYL: The 1975, Panic Division, Chain Gang of 1974
Los Angeles-based producer, singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, enclaves, specializes in genre-bending alternative and indie-pop and will dazzle you upon first listen, mark our words! With an affinity for high-energy eighties-inspired hooks, enclaves is definitely an artist to keep on your radar in 2023!
New single, “don’t go,” is a shot of straight up dopamine with a sax solo while its accompanying video is nostalgia to the max, parodying vintage infomercials and karaoke videos. The song is set to be featured on enclaves’ debut EP, COBALT, due out April 14.
“‘don’t go’ is a track that I’ve been working on for a long time. It delves into the intricacies of being madly in love yet terrified of the uncertainties that come with it. The song underscores the importance of putting in constant effort to foster growth and development in relationship. Musically, I’ve always loved sounds that give that sense of nostalgia – saxophones and synthesizers especially. This song represents a significant step in my journey as an artist, as I’ve always wanted to create a powerful, nostalgia-infused track that packs an emotional punch.”
