[Daily Discovery] Branik

RIYL: Michelle Branch, Third Eye Blind, Liz Phair

One listen to Seattle-based emerging artist, Branik, and you’ll feel like you were transported to 1999. Not mad. SO here for that! If you’re dying to escape all things 2019, we don’t blame you. Choose Branik and be about that late 90s/early 2000s life. In fact, it wouldn’t be bizarre to hear her music played back in the day alongside the Goo Goo Dolls, Lisa Loeb, and Mazzy Star.

The project of singer/songwriter Hillary Branyik, Branik has Colorado roots and a music lover’s heart. Her debut EP, Why Not, embodies her love for movie soundtracks with her own personal blend of pop, rock, acoustic, and folk sensibilities all wrapped up into a breath of fresh air and most of all, kindness. We love that stuff around here.

With “Still” at the forefront of Why Not, a tale of lovers who never got the timing right, we have no doubt this girl will be your new obsession in no time.
